Season 2021/22

Association AGM

Great to see the 2021/22 cricket season starting to get underway. A few of us jumped onto the Teams call last night for the Association AGM to kick things off.

Mount Barker had planned our AGM for next Monday but with lock-downs chose to post pone. We will announce a new date as soon as we can, so stay tuned for that one, but that will not stop us getting ready for the season.

Mount Barker Committee

It is fair to say the committee will take a bit of a hit this year with some changes to be announced soon. We therefore need a few more voices to stand up and be hard at a committee level, including a new Secretary and Treasurer. If you can help out a few hours per week WE NEED YOU! Get in touch ASAP. Lets face it, you already check your emails on the daily, surely you could keep an eye on the club's email account too right?

Mount Barker on Field

Exciting developments on the field this year will include the first season of games at the new Summit Sport and Rec Ground. Although Mount Barker will not be the sole occupant of the facility, we hope to play a large number of junior and A Grade games at the ground, as well as provide off field facilities for events. Yep, that means we will also need someone to volunteer for helping to keep everything stocked up and clean, ready for game days and events.

Final Words

If you have ever considered getting involved with the Mount Barker Cricket Club this is a great time to come out and play at a first class facility, jump on the committee or volunteer your time to cater for the players and patrons.

A Cricket Club does't run without volunteers and we say thanks to all those that have been giving their time over the years!
