Season 2021/22 AGM
COVID-19 restrictions are easing here in South Australia and hopefully we will not be back into lock-down any time soon. MBCC AGM
Our committee would like to announce our AGM date as NEXT MONDAY (9 August 2021). Yes, we know that isn't much notice but it has been a little difficult finding a suitable date and then having to cancel for the recent lock-down. We will be meeting up at the new Summit Sports ground in Mount Barker, from 6:30 and the meeting starting from 7:00pm. This will be a great opportunity to head along and see the new facilities if you have not already. We do ask that you please bring along your masks to wear while inside and not eating or drinking, as per current SA Government restrictions.
Positions Vacant As noted in our last email we are in desperate need of some additional helpers this year. There will be a couple of returning faces but we also need to fill the following positions with some new volunteers:
Secretary
Treasurer
Sponsorship
Bar and Facilities Manager
It isn't a huge list but without new volunteers coming on board the last couple of years, those of us continuing are spread a bit thin across multiple jobs at the moment. Anyone looking to take on these rolls will be provided with ample assistance in learning their duties and the other committee members are only ever a phone call away.
And Alex keeps threatening that he isn't gonna be around for ever... :( So come along to the AGM, get involved and put a smile back on his face ;)
A Note From The Junior Coordinator All levels of registration from Junior Blaster through to A Grade seniors are now open so jump online and get yourself onto our systems for the up and coming season. The link below can be used to make it nice and easy: Register Here! This season we will strive to enter a team in the girls Strikers league so now is a great time to spread the word to all interested sisters, daughters, cousins or other family and friends. To assist with judging if this is viable, please send through registrations of interest to Justin (0418 846 904) or pass on a potential players details if you would they would benefit from a phone call to discuss opportunities at Mount Barker. Mount Barker also hopes to field junior teams in U10's, U12's, U14's & U16's so get the word out to your families and you mates to start registering. Hope to see a large number of you out at our AGM, it would be great if a few more parents and senior players can contribute a few hours of their time to help keep the club running.
