Tait turns back the clock as the Burras fall short at Hahndorf
*A Grade*
Our Mighty Burras made the short "Merseyside travel" 9.2kms to Hahndorf Oval to face a Hahndorf unit sure to be fired-up after a disappointing loss to Strathalbyn.

Under the new leadership of Jackson "Jacko" Lane, the Burras would have been hoping for a change in fortunes (particularly at the old 50/50 flip). However, as luck would have it, Jacko picked up where Rhys left off, losing the coin toss, and with that the boys were in the field ready to go.
Now in their third season of A-grade cricket our young bowling unit are ready for a big season ahead. Led in the attack by Rhys Paterson (1/11 off 9 overs), the Burras enjoyed early success with the younger of Lane brothers Hayden picking up the key wicket of Hassold (5) early.
From there it was a game of cat and mouse and both sides shared the spoils as Decky "Mini Vogt" Porter (3/25) and Hayden "Dos" Lane (3/43) looked to put the Burras on top. However, some late end hitting from Caleb Blessing (19) and some classy hitting from Mosey (41 not out) put the home side slightly on top heading into the change of innings with Hahndorf finishing at 9/185.
In with a great chance, Jacko and Chris Paterson kicked-off the run chase. Looking good at 0/30 the Burras were in control before Paterson (17) fell caught and bowled to Tait. From there, the Burras lost there way, as Tait (5/13) channelled his 65 wicket shield season of 2004/5, ripped through the Burras batting line up as Lee, R Paterson and debutant Nesbitt all falling quickly for 0, with only vice-captain Turk (25) showing any resistance. The Burras all out for 88.
The Burras will need to work hard on their batting at training as they make the travel to Lobehtal oval to face a fierce bowling unit in a reduced 35 over game.
